Youth Foundations Victoria
Youth Foundations Victoria offers genuine opportunities for young people to make a real difference to their communities.
Youth Foundations are based in eleven locations around the state. The Foundations are made up of young people looking to be involved in fundraising and funding youth-lead activities that are needed in their local community.
Who is involved?
The Office for Youth and the Bendigo Bank Group are working with key organisations to build the Foundations and select a group of young people to lead it in their community.
What does Youth Foundations Victoria fund?
Various projects that benefit local communities can be funded by Youth Foundations Victoria. For example, funded projects could include (but are not limited to):
- creating on-line virtual community/oral history;
- supporting young people’s access to education/training;
- developing a local e-zine;
- producing a mural on a community centre; and
- developing a local youth landcare group.
