Regional Projects
Through a negotiated grant process support has been provided to twelve targeted projects and three regional coordination projects to support new and existing mentoring and skill-based programs. In doing so we are aiming to boost the number and capacity of mentoring programs in communities with high levels of disadvantage, while building on existing models, practices and networks in communities.

Regional Coordination Projects
The Office for Youth has funded three community organisations to build greater coordination and linkages within communities and across mentoring programs, agencies and related activities in selected areas. The Regional Coordination Projects:
- coordinate effective regional delivery of new and existing mentoring programs and related activities;
- identify, document and share best practice mentoring models; and
- strengthen community collaboration and capacity for the delivery of mentoring programs to develop cross-sectoral and whole of community approaches to mentoring.

Partnership with the Helen Macpherson Smith Trust
An exciting partnership between the Office for Youth and the Helen Macpherson Smith Trust will help build the capacity of communities and develop innovative ways of helping young people.
The partnership offers an opportunity to support the delivery of youth mentoring and helps young people reconnect with their communities as well as with education, employment or training.
