National Youth Week logoNational Youth Weeks presents a great opportunity to:

  • promote positive images of Victoria’s diverse groups of young people
  • ensure young people can participate in the planning and development of all National Youth Week activities
  • be inclusive and accessible for young people in the local community
  • showcase young people’s talents, contributions and achievements to the rest of the community
  • help enable young people express their ideas and provide opportunities to give them a voice

There is a large range of events and opportunities to be involved. These include live performances, music and cultural events, art exhibitions, competitions, sport competitions, youth forums, workshops, community projects and much more.

You will find competitions, heaps of advice on ways to celebrate and lots of fun things to do during National Youth Week at the new window icon youthcentral and new window icon National Youth Week websites.

National Youth Week Grants - Live it Now


The National Youth Week Grants support diverse groups of young people aged 12 to 25 to organise local projects, events and activities for other young people. Young people from across Victoria helped assess National Youth Week grant applications by making recommendations to the Office for Youth.

The 2010 Victorian Government National Youth Week Grants of $2,000 or $5,000 are available to help young people to plan and organise events in their communities for the largest celebration of young people to be held on 10 April- 18 April 2010. Grants applications for 2010 are closed. Successful applications will be listed here when announced.
